Pugwash RIP

Sad to hear that my cousin, John Ryan, has died aged 88. John was the creator of Captain Pugwash, Mary Mungo & Midge, and other BBC children’s favourites from the 70s.

For a bit of nostalgia for those of a certain age – here’s a clip on one of my previous posts.

Why is it your post titles always send my mind off on a completely different tack than your post!

Ah, yes… bet they don’t have such a good theme tune, though 🙂

A friend of my father’s from his big-band days played the squeezebox on the Pugwash music!
