Interplanetary nostalgia

I was 11 years old when the first series of Blake’s 7 came out, and was instantly hooked. I imagine it would look very corny if I watched it again 30 years on, but I can’t help but be intrigued by rumours that it might make a comeback, possibly with Sean Bean in the lead role.

Hope they keep the same theme music…

If it’s anywhere near as good as the Battlestar Galactica reimagined series, and I cannot imagine why not, then this is a real treat to look foward to. One thing about BG was that the original script writing was a bit rubbish. B7 had great scriptwriting, it was just let down by the BBC’s effects funds (why was every episode outside the Liberator set in a quarry?). Fingers crossed!
